Uva Province
Uva Province is Sri Lanka's second least populated province.It consists of two districts: Badulla and Monaragala. The provincial capital is Badulla. Uva is bordered by Eastern, Southern, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces.
Uva Province is a beautiful area in the southeastern part of Sri Lanka, which is a perfect combination of topography and diversity.The hilly topography in the Badulla district and the plains in the Monaragala district are the most common.
Its major tourist attractions are Dunhinda falls, Diyaluma Falls, Rawana Falls, the Yala National Park (lying partly in the Southern and Eastern Provinces) and Gal Oya National Park(lying partly in the Eastern Province). The Gal Oya hills and the Central mountains are the main uplands, while the Mahaweli and Menik rivers and the huge Senanayake Samudraya and Maduru Oya Reservoirs are the major waterways.
There are 26 divisional secretariats divided in Uva Province, which are listed below, by district. There are 15 in Badulla District and 11 in Monaragala District.Major cities and towns are,
Namunukula and Haputhale stands tallest mountain range surrounding Badulla.Due to the climatic conditions suitable for living in the Uva province and receives the love of local and foreign tourists.For example there are many places like Demodara Nine Arches Bridge,Dunhinda Falls, Rawana Falls,Haputhale Lipton's Seat and Muthuyanganaya Temple.
It is the duty of the tourists to have fun after visiting such places without harming the environment.
